AFRICA + Culture - Once Upon Again

Some more scanning from Ravensbourne library it's very small and unsubstantial but there is some good stuff up in na' di' place.

Guess it was a Parco book. Wish I had properly scanned these...oh well. I think you can double-click these photographs also.

I think.

Kim Kyung Soo for Korean Vogue

I'm not sure if I'm making any sense but Korean Vogue seems to have this style of photography...colours or something. To the point where I feel I can spot if a Korean photographer shot the editorial.

Maybe it's like that for all Vogues but what do I know.

Mama Africa

When will I see your face again?

Underskin Body Modification- Contrasts European ideals of beauty

Could design a whole lot from this!

Massai Warrior

Her face reminds me of Dijimon Honsou? Skin is glowing though

An emulsion made from local resources that conjeals the hair into bobbles

Baboon- with those Sol Campbell eyebrows

Colours are amazing in this photo. Isn't she adorable?

The Massai, Of course. Famous for their jumping

Emotion
Never been so proud to be African. Then this enormous sense of guilt comes over me for 1) never embracing my "true" culture before I heard of its fruits as well as never wanting to go back after being forced about 5 times.
